According to the survey, for 38% of Russians television remains the main source of news and information, while another 15% use it primarily for relaxation and watching entertainment content. More than half of the study participants (53%) prefer to watch television content via online platforms. Another 38% use television or digital TV with a catch-up feature for previously aired programs. 5% of respondents watch video content via social networks, 3% download films and shows, and 2% look for programs on TV channel websites.

Almost half of the respondents (48%) believe that in the next 10-15 years television will become more diverse thanks to the development of technology. For example, 35% expect the arrival of films with a maximum immersion effect and VR cinema, while 25% would like to see more intellectual content. Another 28% predict growth in the number of TV channels.
